Definition
Multi-Partner Solution: A Multi-Partner Solution is a Meta set-up that lets two WhatsApp partners serve the same business client. Typically a Tech Provider supplies the software that sends and receives messages, while a Solution Partner supplies the credit line that pays Meta for those messages. The client onboards once through Embedded Signup, and the solution's ID tells Meta which partners get access and who is billed.
Also called: MPS, Multi-partner solution, Partner solution
Why Multi-Partner Solutions exist
A Tech Provider can build good software but has no credit line, so its clients would each need a payment method Meta accepts. A Solution Partner has the credit line but may not have the product the client wants. A Multi-Partner Solution joins the two: the software of one partner, the billing of the other, on the same WhatsApp Business Account.
How it works, step by step
- The two partners agree to work together and create a solution in Meta's partner tools. The solution gets an ID.
- The Tech Provider launches Embedded Signup with that solution ID.
- During signup, the client's WhatsApp account is shared with both partners, and the Solution Partner's credit line is attached.
- Messages flow through the Tech Provider's app; Meta invoices the Solution Partner, which bills onward according to its agreement.
Example
Arjun runs a software studio in Ahmedabad that sells a WhatsApp ordering bot to sweet shops. Many shop owners only pay by UPI or bank transfer and have no card Meta accepts. Arjun joins a Solution Partner's Multi-Partner Solution. When a shop such as Meera's in Surat connects its number, the partner's credit line is attached at the same moment. Meera pays a monthly prepaid amount in rupees and never adds a card to Meta.
What to check before you rely on one
| Question | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Who owns the client's WhatsApp account? | It should stay in the client's own business portfolio |
| What happens if the partners part ways? | The client may need a new payment method or partner |
| Which Embedded Signup version is used? | Meta deprecates v2 and v3 on 15 Oct 2026; v4 is required |
| Who handles Meta invoices and disputes? | Usually the Solution Partner |
Where Broadchat fits
Broadchat is built on the official WhatsApp Business Platform (Cloud API) and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Meta. It is not itself a Solution Partner. When a client's channel is connected under Channels → All Channels, Meta charges can be paid with the client's own payment method or through a Solution Partner's credit line, and the client's messaging balance is kept in a prepaid channel wallet. Agencies can read how to start a WhatsApp reseller business, and the WhatsApp API pricing explainer covers what Meta charges for.

Frequently asked questions
Does the client see both partners?
The client approves the access during Embedded Signup, so both partners appear in the client's business portfolio settings. Day to day, the client usually deals only with the software provider.
Can a business leave a Multi-Partner Solution?
Yes. The WhatsApp account stays in the client's portfolio. The client can remove partner access and add its own payment method or another partner's credit line.
Is a Multi-Partner Solution the same as conversation routing?
No. A Multi-Partner Solution shares billing and access between two partners. Conversation routing, launched by Meta in September 2026, is about several partners handling message threads on one number.
