Data Deletion Instructions
Last updated September 27, 2026
1. What data we hold
When you use Broadchat and connect WhatsApp through Facebook (Meta), we store your account details, the WhatsApp Business Account and phone number IDs and access token granted through Meta, your message templates, contacts you upload or receive, and the messages sent and received through the service.
2. Remove access from Facebook
You can revoke the app's access to your Facebook and WhatsApp business assets at any time:
- Open Facebook and go to Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations.
- Find the app you connected and click Remove.
- Optionally, in Meta Business Settings, remove the app's access under Accounts → WhatsApp accounts → Partners.
After access is removed we can no longer read or send messages for your number.
3. Delete data from inside your panel
- Disconnect a WhatsApp number: Channels → All Channels → open the channel menu → Permanently Disable Channel.
- Delete contacts: CRM → Contact → select contacts → Delete.
- Delete templates, chatbots and campaigns: use the Delete action on each item.
- Remove team members: Workspace → Manage Team → Remove.
4. Request deletion of your whole account
To delete your account and all associated data, send a request from your registered email address to support@broadchat.in, with the subject "Data deletion request" and the phone number or account email concerned.
- We confirm receipt and verify that the request comes from the account owner.
- We delete or anonymise your data within 30 days of verification, including the stored Meta access tokens.
- We may keep limited records where the law requires it (for example invoices and payment records for tax purposes), and backups are overwritten on their normal cycle.
5. Your customers' data
If you are a business customer, you control the data of the people you message. Requests from your own customers to delete their data should be handled by you, using the contact deletion tools above.
