White-label WhatsApp API for Malaysian hosting companies, agencies and SMS resellers
How a Malaysian web host, digital agency or SMS reseller can sell WhatsApp under its own brand: what carries your name, how you bill clients in RM, how margins and wallets work, and the first 30 days.

In short
Broadchat lets a Malaysian company sell the official WhatsApp Business API as its own product: your logo, your domain, your plans in RM, your payment collection. You pay Broadchat a cost price per client account, quoted on request, and keep the difference you charge. Clients' messaging is prepaid into wallets at rates you set over Meta's rate card, and your margin on it is settled to your partner wallet every week.
Key takeaways
- Your clients see only your brand: logo, colours, login page, your own domain, and emails and SMS from your own senders.
- You set plan prices in RM and bill clients through your own Stripe account or by bank transfer; client payments go to you, not to Broadchat.
- You pay a cost price per client account per billing cycle from a prepaid partner wallet; the price is quoted on request.
- Messaging margin is the difference between your rate and Meta's base rate, settled into your partner wallet every week.
- There is no WHMCS module; hosting companies sell it as a separate product, and the Partner API can read and top up client wallets.
Who this is for in Malaysia
Malaysian businesses already buy their domain, hosting, email and SMS credits from someone they trust. If that someone is you, WhatsApp is the next product they will ask for. This page is for:
- Web hosting companies that sell shared hosting, domains and business email to SMEs and want a recurring add-on that is not another disk-space plan.
- Digital and social media agencies in the Klang Valley, Penang or Johor that already run Facebook and Instagram ads for clients and want to own what happens after the click.
- SMS and bulk-messaging resellers whose clients are moving transactional alerts and promotions from SMS to WhatsApp.
- Shopify and WooCommerce developers who build stores and want order and delivery messages to be part of the package.
It is not the right fit if you want a one-off setup fee and no ongoing relationship: WhatsApp needs template approvals, opt-in lists and someone to call when the messaging limit or quality rating changes. Partners who do well treat it as a managed service.
What carries your brand
| Your clients see | How it works |
|---|---|
| Your name, logo (light and dark), favicon and colours | Set in the partner panel; the customer panel shows no Broadchat name on your hosts |
| Your login page and web address | A ready panel address on day one, then your own domain (for example wa.yourhost.my) by CNAME or A record, with SSL issued automatically |
| Your emails and SMS | Sent through your own SMTP server and SMS gateway |
| Your plans, prices and currency | Plans and add-ons with your own RM prices, billing cycles and limits |
| Your support | Clients raise support tickets to you; you can sign in as a client to see what they see |
| Your menu | Hide, rename or add menu items, and adjust translations |
Two things are not yours to brand: Meta's Embedded Signup window, which is Meta's own screen, and the WhatsApp messages themselves, which carry your client's own display name.
How the money works
There are three flows, and it helps to keep them apart when you price:
- Your clients pay you. You create plans in RM in the partner panel (for example a Starter plan with 2 team members and a Pro plan with 5) and collect payment through your own Stripe account (cards) or by bank transfer with proof of payment. Your own payment gateways, custom domain and own email and SMS senders are part of the Growth and Enterprise partner plans.
- You pay Broadchat. You pay a cost price per client account for each billing cycle (monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or yearly), debited from your prepaid partner wallet when a client buys or renews. You top up the partner wallet by bank transfer, or by card through Stripe where it is enabled for your account. The cost price depends on volume, billing cycle and modules, so it is quoted on request; ask which currency your partner wallet is billed in.
- Messaging passes through wallets. Each client prepays a messaging wallet at the rates you set, as a percentage or flat markup over Meta's base rate for each country and category. Your margin (your rate minus Meta's base rate) is settled into your main partner wallet every week, early on Monday morning Malaysia time.
A worked example (illustrative only)
Say Farid runs a hosting company in Shah Alam and signs 20 SME clients on a WhatsApp plan he prices at RM180 a month. His platform cost is whatever Broadchat quotes him per client account; for the example, call it C. His monthly subscription margin is 20 × (RM180 − C). On top of that, if his clients together send 30,000 utility messages to Malaysian numbers and he charges RM0.0700 per delivered utility message against Meta's RM0.0564 (Meta rate card effective 1 Oct 2026), the messaging margin is 30,000 × RM0.0136 = RM408 a month. These numbers are made up to show the arithmetic, not a forecast; the reseller profit calculator lets you try your own.
Hosting companies: how it fits next to your billing system
Many Malaysian hosts run their storefront and invoicing on a billing system such as WHMCS. Broadchat has no WHMCS module today. What works now:
- Sell WhatsApp as its own product with your own plans in the Broadchat partner panel; clients sign up on your branded panel address.
- Or, if you want one invoice from your existing system, take payment there and give the client access in the partner panel. Enterprise partners get the Partner API, which lists your client accounts, returns a client's wallet balances and recent transactions, and moves balance from your partner wallet into a client's wallet, so a developer can keep wallet top-ups in step with invoices paid in your system.
Put the WhatsApp product next to business email and SMS in your catalogue, not next to hosting plans; the buyer is the same person who buys SMS credits.
Onboarding a Malaysian client
- Check the business details. The client's legal name as on SSM, a website on HTTPS that shows that name, and a phone number that will be the WhatsApp number.
- Create the client account in your partner panel and assign a plan.
- Connect the number with the client through Embedded Signup, inside the client's own Meta business portfolio. See getting the WhatsApp Business API in Malaysia for the verification documents.
- Write the first templates together: an order or booking confirmation (utility), a reminder (utility) and one opted-in promotion (marketing), in Malay, English or Chinese as their customers prefer.
- Import the opted-in contacts with a tag recording where consent came from, to satisfy WhatsApp's policy and the client's PDPA obligations.
- Watch the first two weeks: quality rating, template status and the messaging limit, which starts at 250 people a day for a new portfolio.
What you should know before you sign up
- Broadchat is not a Meta Business Solution Provider; numbers are connected through Meta's Embedded Signup and messages go through the Cloud API.
- The panel is available in 23 languages, including English, Chinese and Tamil; there is no Bahasa Malaysia translation yet.
- Built-in WhatsApp payment collection is not available for Malaysia; clients add a payment link from their own provider to a template button.
- Meta decides template approval, verification, display names and messaging limits. Nobody can promise them, and you should not either.
The global partner program page lists every partner feature, and WhatsApp Business API in Malaysia is the page to send end clients who want to understand what they are buying.

Frequently asked questions
Can I bill my Malaysian clients in RM?
Yes. You create plans and add-ons in RM with your own prices and billing cycles, and collect through your own Stripe account or by bank transfer. Client payments go to your account. The messaging rates your clients pay are also set by you over Meta's base rate.
Will my clients see the Broadchat name?
No. On your hosts the customer panel shows your name, logo and links only, emails and SMS go from your own senders, and support tickets come to you. Meta's Embedded Signup window is Meta's own screen, and WhatsApp messages carry your client's display name.
How much does it cost to become a partner?
You pay a cost price per client account for each billing cycle, debited from a prepaid partner wallet. The price depends on the number of client accounts, the billing cycle and the modules you resell, so it is quoted on request. Contact us for a quote.
Is there a WHMCS integration?
Not today. Hosting companies sell WhatsApp as its own product from the partner panel. Enterprise partners can use the Partner API to list client accounts and top up client wallets from their own systems.
Do my clients need SSM registration?
Not to start: a Meta business portfolio can connect a number and send to up to 250 people a day before verification. To unlock higher limits, Meta's business verification needs official documents in the legal business name, and SSM registration documents are the usual Malaysian ones. Meta makes the decision.
Can I offer a free trial?
Yes. The partner panel has a built-in free plan you can offer once per client for 3, 5 or 7 days, plus your own trial plans. Meta still charges for templates sent during a trial, so give trial clients a small messaging wallet or none.
