In short
Good Zoko alternatives for Indian Shopify and D2C brands: Interakt (from ₹2,799 a month for WhatsApp, unlimited agents), WATI (₹2,699 a month billed quarterly, 7-day trial), Gallabox (₹2,999 billed quarterly), AiSensy (published message prices, paid chatbot add-on), Spur (from $12 a month, 14-day trial), QuickReply.ai (omnichannel, prices on request), Getgabs and Pabbly Chatflow (0% markup on Meta fees, from ₹699 and ₹1,499) and Broadchat for agencies running many stores under their own brand. Zoko itself bills in US dollars from $49.99 a month, with Meta fees paid directly to Meta. Prices were checked on each vendor's own page on 1 Nov 2026.
What to compare
- Shopify depth: order and fulfilment updates, abandoned checkout reminders, catalog sync, COD confirmation.
- How the vendor handles Meta's message charges: billed by Meta, passed through at cost, or resold with a markup.
- Billing currency and GST invoices; USD plans add foreign-exchange charges on an Indian card.
- Agent seats: how many are included, and the price of each extra one.
- Whether automation flows and AI agents are included or sold per flow or per resolution.
- Payments in chat (Razorpay, PayU, UPI links) and converting COD orders to prepaid.
- Trial length and whether a card is needed to start.
- Other storefronts you might add later, such as WooCommerce.
The alternatives
1. Broadchat
WebsiteBest for: Agencies and Shopify experts who run WhatsApp for many D2C brands and want one branded panel with their own pricing
A white-label WhatsApp Business API platform on Meta's official Cloud API, sold through partners. For stores it connects Shopify and WooCommerce, tracks orders and carts, and fires chatbot and automation triggers on order created, order updated, payment received and payment failed, with a native Shopify abandoned-cart integration. WhatsApp payments in India work through Razorpay or PayU. Built by Nxiora (India); not affiliated with Meta.
Strengths
- Shopify, WooCommerce and WhatsApp catalog stores in one panel
- Order, cart and payment triggers for COD confirmation and recovery flows
- Partner brands the panel, sets client plans and a messaging markup per country
- Team inbox, CRM and chatbot builder included rather than sold per flow
Watch out for
- A single store cannot sign up directly; it buys through a partner
- Prices on request, not published
- No native AI order-taking agent like Zoko's Sello; AI knowledge-base upload not available yet
- Instagram and Messenger still rolling out
Pricing: Partner cost per client account per billing cycle, quoted on request. Stores prepay Meta's message charges into a wallet at rates the partner sets. No public price list.

Strengths

The short answer
The best Zoko alternatives for an Indian Shopify brand are the ones that bill in rupees and do not charge for features Zoko sells separately. If you want Shopify automations and unlimited agents in INR, start with Interakt. If you want a familiar inbox with a free trial, WATI or Gallabox. If you want Meta's rates with no markup at a low price, Getgabs or Pabbly Chatflow. If you want an AI agent on a USD budget with a long trial, Spur. If you are an agency running WhatsApp for many stores, a white-label panel such as Broadchat lets you sell it under your own brand.
Zoko is still a strong fit for a Shopify brand that sells internationally and thinks in dollars: its AI agents for FAQs, order tracking and order taking are specific to ecommerce, and its higher plans include large free conversation allowances. We build Broadchat; every other fact here comes from the vendor's own site on 1 Nov 2026.
Zoko alternatives price table (checked 1 Nov 2026)
Entry price is the lowest plan that includes WhatsApp. Prices exclude GST. Meta's own message charges come on top of every subscription below.
| Platform | Starting price | Free trial | Markup on Meta rates | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Zoko (for reference) | $49.99/month (Starter) | 7 days | Meta billed directly by Meta; Zoko fee $0.015 on each conversation on Starter | Shopify brands selling abroad |
| Interakt | ₹2,799/month (Growth) | Yes, length not stated | About 11% on marketing (our arithmetic); none on Enterprise | INR plans, unlimited agents |
| WATI | ₹2,699/month billed quarterly | 7 days | Not stated | Familiar inbox, 3-user teams |
| AiSensy | Core plan not shown; add-ons from ₹1,350 | ₹50 credits | About 26% (our arithmetic) | Published message prices |
| Gallabox | ₹2,999/month billed quarterly | 500 AI credits | Not stated on plan cards | Larger teams, AI credits |
| Spur | $12/month | 14 days, no card | Not stated | AI agent on a small budget |
| QuickReply.ai | Not stated | Not stated | About 22% on marketing (our arithmetic) | WhatsApp + RCS + SMS |
| Getgabs | ₹699/month | Not stated | 0% ("No Markup") | Lowest INR price |
| Pabbly Chatflow | Free; ₹1,499/month billed yearly | Free plan + 30-day refund | 0% ("0% Markup Fees") | Fixed yearly cost |

The markup figures compare each vendor's listed India marketing price with Meta's ₹0.8631 per delivered marketing message to India (Meta rate card effective 1 Oct 2026, excl. GST). Interakt lists ₹0.958 on Growth, AiSensy ₹1.09 and QuickReply.ai ₹1.05. These are our calculations from their pages, not figures the vendors state.
How Zoko charges, and why Indian D2C brands compare
Zoko's bill has three parts. The plan: Starter $49.99, Plus $79.99 or Elite $139.99 a month, with a 7-day free trial and no contract. Meta's charges: Zoko says you pay all WhatsApp messaging fees directly to Meta at Meta's published rate card. And Zoko's own fee on conversations: $0.015 each on Starter from the first one; Plus includes 5,000 before charging $0.00199 each; Elite includes 100,000 before $0.00099 each. Starter has unlimited agents; Plus includes 5 and Elite 10, with extra agents at $15 and $12.
Add-ons are where the bill grows. Essential flows are free, premium flows are $5.99 a month each, and the three AI agents (Guru for FAQs, Wismo for order tracking, Sello for order taking) are $24.99 a month each plus a fee on each resolution or, for Sello, 3% of order value after the first 100. Instagram costs $9.99 a month.
For an Indian brand the usual reasons to look elsewhere are the dollar billing (foreign-exchange charges, no INR invoice), paying per flow and per AI agent, and wanting COD and payment flows built around Razorpay, PayU or UPI.
What a Shopify brand actually needs from WhatsApp
Before comparing logos, list the five messages that matter for a D2C store and check each vendor can send them from Shopify events:
- Order confirmation with order number and amount (a utility message).
- COD confirmation asking the buyer to confirm or cancel before you ship. See the COD order confirmation playbook.
- Shipping and delivery updates with a tracking link. See order status notifications.
- Abandoned checkout reminder, which Meta treats as marketing. See abandoned cart recovery.
- Back-in-stock or new-arrival broadcasts to opted-in customers.
Since 1 Oct 2026 utility templates are charged even inside an open customer service window, and only the first 1,000 service replies per number per month are free. So order updates are not free just because the customer messaged you that day. Our Shopify integration page shows how the store events map to templates in Broadchat, and the WooCommerce page does the same for WooCommerce.
Worked example: Rangoli Home with four agents
Illustrative only. Rangoli Home sells home decor on Shopify from Jaipur. Four people answer chats. Each month it sends about 6,000 utility messages (order, COD and shipping updates) and 8,000 marketing messages (cart reminders and two broadcasts). The cheapest plan on each platform that fits four agents and Shopify:
| Platform | Plan that fits | Subscription a month | Message pricing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Zoko | Plus (5 agents included) | $79.99 | Meta billed directly; Zoko fee after 5,000 conversations |
| Interakt | Growth (unlimited agents) | ₹2,799 | Interakt's listed prices, above Meta's |
| WATI | Pro (Growth caps at 3 users) | ₹5,799 billed quarterly + USD 4.99 Shopify | Template charges extra; markup not stated |
| Gallabox | Essential (Basic caps at 3) | ₹6,999 billed quarterly | Billed separately by country |
| Spur | AI Accelerate (5 seats) | $127 | WhatsApp charges extra |
| Getgabs | Plus (Basic inbox is admin-only) | ₹1,499 | Meta's rates, 0% markup |
| Pabbly Chatflow | Standard or Pro, depending on how credits map to your volume | ₹1,499 or ₹3,079 billed yearly | Meta's rates, 0% markup |
| Broadchat | Through a partner | On request | Partner-set rates |
Meta's own charges for this volume are the same everywhere: 8,000 marketing messages at ₹0.8631 and 6,000 utility messages at ₹0.115 per delivered message (Meta rate card effective 1 Oct 2026, excl. GST) come to about ₹7,595 before GST. On Interakt's Growth prices the same messages cost about ₹8,500 to ₹8,620, and on AiSensy's listed prices about ₹9,590, so the message line can matter as much as the plan price. Work this out with your own last three months of volume.
How to choose a Zoko alternative
- Count agents first. Seat caps (WATI Growth 3, Gallabox Basic 3, Spur AI Start 2) push you up a plan faster than message volume does.
- Price the message line, not just the plan. Multiply your marketing and utility volume by each vendor's listed price and compare with Meta's rate. Our explainer on provider markup on Meta fees shows the method.
- Test the Shopify flow end to end. Place a COD test order and check the confirmation template, the reply buttons and what happens when the buyer taps Cancel.
- Check payments. If you want to turn COD into prepaid, confirm the tool supports your gateway (Razorpay, PayU, Cashfree) inside WhatsApp.
- Ask about leaving. Your number and templates belong to your own WhatsApp Business account; confirm you can export contacts and tags.
Switching from Zoko without losing customers
Your WhatsApp number and its WhatsApp Business account sit in your own business portfolio, so you can connect them to a new provider. Plan the cutover for a quiet day: export contacts with opt-in status and tags from Zoko, connect the number to the new platform through Embedded Signup, recreate or re-sync templates, reconnect Shopify, then switch off Zoko's automations so customers do not get duplicate messages. Our number migration guide covers the two-step verification PIN and other common blockers.
For agencies running WhatsApp for several stores
If you manage Shopify stores for clients, paying a separate dollar subscription per store adds up and leaves you with no margin. A white-label panel lets you give each store its own login under your brand and domain, set your own plan prices, and add a markup over Meta's rate that you choose. Broadchat works this way through its white-label programme; Interakt and QuickReply.ai also describe white-label programmes on their own sites. Read how to start a WhatsApp reseller business before deciding, and the WhatsApp Business API explainer if your clients are new to the API.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Zoko cost?
Zoko's pricing page lists Starter at $49.99, Plus at $79.99 and Elite at $139.99 a month, with a 7-day free trial. Meta's message fees are paid directly to Meta. Starter adds a Zoko fee of $0.015 on each conversation; Plus and Elite include 5,000 and 100,000 conversations before a smaller fee. Checked 1 Nov 2026.
Which Zoko alternative is cheapest in India?
On listed entry prices, Getgabs starts at ₹699 a month and Pabbly Chatflow has a free plan, with paid plans from ₹1,499 a month billed yearly. Both state 0% markup on Meta fees. Check seat limits and Shopify support before choosing on price alone.
Which Zoko alternative has the best Shopify integration?
Interakt lists Shopify order notifications, abandoned checkout reminders and catalog sync from its Growth plan, WATI sells a Shopify add-on, Spur is listed on the Shopify App Store, and Getgabs lists Shopify and WooCommerce on all plans. Test a real COD order on a trial before deciding.
Do Zoko alternatives charge a markup on Meta's WhatsApp fees?
Some do. Interakt, AiSensy and QuickReply.ai list India message prices above Meta's rate, while Getgabs and Pabbly Chatflow state 0% markup. Zoko says you pay Meta directly, but adds its own fee on conversations on the Starter plan.
Are WhatsApp order updates free if the customer messaged first?
No longer. Since 1 Oct 2026 Meta charges utility templates even inside an open customer service window, and only the first 1,000 service replies per number per month are free. Order confirmations and shipping updates are charged on every platform in this list.
Can I keep my WhatsApp number when I leave Zoko?
Yes. The number and WhatsApp Business account belong to your business portfolio. Connect them to the new provider, recreate templates if needed, reconnect Shopify and turn off Zoko's automations so customers do not receive messages twice.
Is Zoko a good choice for Indian D2C brands?
It can be, especially for brands selling abroad that want Zoko's ecommerce AI agents. Brands selling mainly in India often prefer INR billing, GST invoices and payment flows built around Razorpay or PayU, which is why they compare the platforms on this page.
