How to use these rates

  1. Count the messages you expect to deliver each month, per category and per recipient country.
  2. Multiply each count by that market's rate. Service replies count only after the first 1,000 per number each month.
  3. Leave out chats that start from a Click-to-WhatsApp ad: if you reply within 24 hours, messages in that chat are free for up to 7 days.
  4. Add your platform subscription, any provider markup and taxes. Utility templates are charged even inside an open service window since 1 Oct 2026.

Frequently asked questions

Why does WhatsApp API pricing differ by country?

Meta prices each delivered message by its category and by the country calling code of the person who receives it. On the Meta rate card effective 1 Oct 2026, 39 countries have their own rates and the rest share the rates of 8 regional groups (including "Other").

Which country has the most expensive WhatsApp marketing messages?

On the Meta rate card effective 1 Oct 2026, the highest marketing rates are Netherlands (US$0.1597), Germany (US$0.1365), Chile (US$0.0889) per delivered message. The lowest are Turkey (US$0.0109), India (US$0.0118), Colombia (US$0.0125).

Do I pay my country's rate or my customer's?

Your customer's. The rate follows the recipient's country calling code, not where your business or your WhatsApp number is registered. A business that messages customers in three countries pays three sets of rates.

Are service replies free in every country?

Each business phone number gets 1,000 free service messages a month. After that, Meta charges each service reply at the recipient market's service rate, which on the Meta rate card effective 1 Oct 2026 equals that market's utility rate.

Can I see these rates in my own currency?

Meta publishes its rate card in 16 currencies (AED, ARS, AUD, BRL, CLP, COP, EUR, GBP, IDR, INR, MXN, MYR, PEN, SAR, SGD, USD). The billing currency is chosen when the WhatsApp Business account is set up. This table uses the USD card; several market pages also show the local-currency card.
