Set a two-step verification PIN for several WhatsApp channels at once

Set the same or different 6-digit two-step verification PIN across several connected WhatsApp channels in one step, and what to do if a PIN is forgotten.

Before you start

Steps

  1. Open Channels → All Channels.
  2. Select the channels you want to set a PIN for (use the bulk-select option to choose more than one).
  3. Open the bulk two-step verification action and enter the 6-digit PIN.
  4. Confirm. Broadchat sends the PIN to Meta for each selected number and shows which channels were updated and which failed.
  5. Check any channel that failed individually: a wrong current PIN, a pending Meta review on the number, or a temporary API error are the usual reasons.

If a PIN is forgotten or needs to be removed

Meta does not allow two-step verification to be turned off through the API. If a PIN is forgotten, it has to be reset from WhatsApp Manager using the email-based reset link Meta sends to the registered email for that number; Broadchat's bulk tool can set a new PIN once you are back in, but it cannot bypass or disable the check itself.
