Wati vs AiSensy: which WhatsApp Business API platform fits your business in 2026?
A neutral Wati vs AiSensy comparison for Indian businesses: plan prices checked on 1 Nov 2026, per-message markup worked out against Meta's rate card, a sample monthly bill, and who should pick which.

In short
Pick Wati if you want AI agents and AI credits inside the plan, a 7-day trial and a broader integration list, and you can live with 3 users on Growth. Pick AiSensy if you want a free plan, five agent seats on a low entry plan and a white-label offer, and you accept a higher message price plus paid chatbot add-ons. On a typical small-business month the two land within about ₹700 of each other; your message mix decides which is lower.
Key takeaways
- Wati's Growth plan is ₹2,699 a month billed quarterly with 3 users and no extra seats; AiSensy's Basic is ₹1,500 a month with 1 owner and 5 agent logins.
- On their own India rate cards, Wati Growth adds about 20% to Meta's marketing rate and AiSensy about 26% (our arithmetic, rates effective 1 Oct 2026).
- Wati includes AI credits and Astra AI agents in every plan; AiSensy sells its Chatbot Builder and AI Agent Builder as monthly add-ons.
- AiSensy offers a white-label version for partners; Wati's partner page describes reseller, technology and affiliate tracks but no white-label panel.
- Compare on one month of your own messages split by category, not on the headline plan price.
Short answer to Wati vs AiSensy: both are self-serve platforms on Meta's official WhatsApp Business API, both suit Indian small and mid-sized businesses, and neither is better for everyone. Wati costs more to enter but bundles AI agents, AI credits and a wider integration list. AiSensy is cheaper to enter, gives more seats on its entry plan and has a white-label offer, but charges more on every message and sells its chatbot and AI builders separately.

The message prices in the table are each vendor's own India figures for one delivered message, rates effective 1 Oct 2026. Wati publishes a separate rate-card PDF for each plan, dated 1 Oct 2026 and linked from its pricing page; AiSensy lists its India prices on the pricing page itself. Meta's own India rates on the same date are ₹0.8631 for a delivered marketing message and ₹0.115 for utility, authentication and service after the free 1,000 (Meta rate card effective 1 Oct 2026, excl. GST). The markup percentages are our arithmetic, not figures either vendor states. For how these markups work in general, read how providers mark up Meta's fees.
Worked example: one month for Rangoli Home
Illustrative only. Rangoli Home is a home-decor brand in Jaipur that sells on its own website. Three people answer chats. In a typical month it sends:
- 10,000 marketing templates (new-arrival and festive offers to opted-in customers)
- 4,000 utility templates (order confirmations, dispatch and delivery updates)
- 500 authentication templates (login codes)
- 3,000 service replies, of which the first 1,000 are free under Meta's rules from 1 Oct 2026, so 2,000 are charged
| Line (excl. GST) | Meta's rates only | Wati Growth | AiSensy Basic | AiSensy Pro |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Plan, monthly equivalent | ₹0 | ₹2,699 | ₹1,500 | ₹3,200 |
| 10,000 marketing | ₹8,631 | ₹10,357 | ₹10,900 | ₹10,900 |
| 4,000 utility | ₹460 | ₹598 | ₹580 | ₹580 |
| 500 authentication | ₹57.50 | ₹74.75 | ₹72.50 | ₹72.50 |
| 2,000 charged service | ₹230 | ₹276 | ₹290 | ₹290 |
| Total | ₹9,378.50 | ₹14,004.75 | ₹13,342.50 | ₹15,042.50 |
What the example shows:
- AiSensy Basic is about ₹660 lower this month, because its plan saving (₹1,199) is larger than its higher message charges (about ₹537 more than Wati Growth).
- The gap closes as marketing volume grows. Each marketing message costs about ₹0.054 more on AiSensy than on Wati Growth. At roughly 22,000 marketing messages a month the two cost the same; above that, Wati Growth is lower.
- Features change the answer. Basic has no campaign scheduler or click tracking; for those you need Pro, which is ₹1,038 above Wati in this example. If Rangoli Home wants a drag-and-drop bot on AiSensy, the ₹2,500 Chatbot Builder add-on applies, while Wati lists automation triggers within the plan.
- Seats change it too. A fourth agent is impossible on Wati Growth, so the jump is to Pro at ₹5,799. On AiSensy Basic the fourth and fifth agents are already included.

When to choose Wati
- You want AI replies from day one without buying a separate builder. Every plan includes Astra AI agents and a monthly AI credit allowance.
- You send a lot of marketing messages. Wati's per-message price is lower on every plan, and it falls further on Pro and Business.
- You need CRM integrations such as HubSpot (Pro) or Salesforce (Business), or a high API call allowance for your own systems.
- Your team is three people or fewer, or you are ready to start on Pro with five users.
- You prefer to test the full product on a 7-day trial before paying.
Wati is a weaker fit if you need four or five agents but only want to pay entry-plan prices, or if you want monthly billing (the page we checked offered quarterly and annual cycles).
When to choose AiSensy
- You want the lowest subscription to start, or a free plan while you apply for API access and set up Click-to-WhatsApp ads.
- Several people share the inbox: Basic and Pro include five agent logins, and extras are ₹750 a month each.
- Your monthly volume is modest, so the plan saving outweighs the higher message price.
- You are an agency that wants a white-labelled version to sell to clients.
AiSensy is a weaker fit if marketing broadcasts are most of your spend, because its markup applies to every message, or if you need both the chatbot and AI agent builders, which together add ₹3,850 a month.
Switching between Wati and AiSensy
Both run on Meta's Cloud API, so your phone number, display name, verified business and quality rating belong to your Meta business portfolio, not to the vendor. A move usually looks like this:
- Export what is yours first: contacts with opt-in dates, tags and attributes, and a copy of every message template's text. Chat history export options differ; ask before you cancel.
- Disconnect the number from the old platform, then connect it to the new one through its Embedded Signup flow. Two-step verification must be off or the PIN known.
- Re-create templates. Template approvals sit on the WhatsApp Business Account; whether they carry over depends on whether the new vendor connects the same account or creates a new one. Plan for re-approval time.
- Rebuild bots and integrations. Chatbot flows, AI agent knowledge bases, Shopify triggers and webhooks do not transfer between vendors.
- Settle prepaid balances. Both vendors bill messages from prepaid credit; ask how unused credit is handled before you switch.

If you want to resell under your own brand
Agencies often compare these two because they want to offer WhatsApp to their own clients. AiSensy's partner page describes a white-labelled platform with your custom domain, logo and pricing, plus a 20% recurring affiliate commission. Wati's partner page lists value-added reseller, technology and affiliate partnerships with co-branded assets, but describes no white-label panel. A third route is a platform built only for resale: Broadchat is a white-label WhatsApp Business API platform on Meta's Cloud API that agencies sell under their own brand, domain and prices, with partner pricing per client account quoted on request. See how white-label works and compare it with referral and building your own in white-label vs referral vs build.

Frequently asked questions
Is Wati or AiSensy cheaper for a small business in India?
On subscription alone AiSensy is lower: Basic is listed at ₹1,500 a month against Wati Growth at ₹2,699 billed quarterly. But AiSensy charges more on each marketing message, so in our illustrative month the totals were ₹13,342.50 and ₹14,004.75, and Wati became the lower option above roughly 22,000 marketing messages a month. Work it out on your own message mix.
How many users do Wati and AiSensy include?
Wati Growth includes 3 users and cannot add more; Pro and Business include 5, with extra users at ₹1,299 or ₹2,199 a month. AiSensy Basic and Pro include 1 owner plus 5 agent logins, with extra agents at ₹750 a month each, according to AiSensy's own plan comparison.
Do Wati and AiSensy add a markup to Meta's message charges?
Both publish India prices above Meta's rate card. Comparing their figures with Meta's (rate card effective 1 Oct 2026), Wati Growth is about 20% higher on marketing and 30% on utility, falling on Pro and Business, while AiSensy is about 26% higher on every category. These percentages are our arithmetic; neither vendor states a markup figure.
Which has a better chatbot builder, Wati or AiSensy?
They are packaged differently. Wati lists a no-code chatbot, automation triggers and Astra AI agents with AI credits inside its plans. AiSensy sells a drag-and-drop Chatbot Builder (₹2,500 a month for 5 chatbots) and an AI Agent Builder (₹1,350 a month with 1,000 AI messages) as add-ons. Test both on your own flows during Wati's trial and AiSensy's free plan.
Can I move my WhatsApp number from Wati to AiSensy, or back?
Yes. The number, display name and quality rating sit in your Meta business portfolio. Export contacts and template text, disconnect the number from the current platform, connect it to the other through Embedded Signup, then re-create templates, bots and integrations. Ask both vendors how prepaid credit and chat history are handled first.
Does Wati or AiSensy offer a white-label reseller program?
AiSensy's partner page offers a white-labelled platform with custom domain, logo and pricing. Wati's partner page lists reseller, technology and affiliate programs with co-branded assets but does not describe a white-label panel. Agencies that want to resell under their own brand should ask each vendor for the partner terms in writing.
